EFFECTIVENESS OF FUNGICIDES AGAINST DISEASES IN SUNFLOWER CROPS
Abstract
The purpose of the research is to study the impact of fungicides and the effectiveness of their action on the level of damage and spread of diseases in sunflower crops in the central part of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. Methods. The research was conducted during 2023–2025 in the conditions of the Petrovsky Agricultural Cooperative, Cherkasy region, Kaniv district. The soil of the experimental plots is chernozem. Weather and climatic conditions were typical for the Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine and favorable for growing sunflower. Seeds of the mid-late linoleum hybrid Subaru (Syngenta), recommended for growing in the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine, were sown. The sowing area of the plot is 298.0 m2. The agricultural technology of growing sunflower was generally accepted for the conditions of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. Sowing was carried out in the 3rd decade of April, at a soil temperature of 8–10 °C at a seed embedment depth of 4 cm. The experimental scheme involved the use of fungicidal protection of sunflower (plant treatment with preparations): 1. control, 2. Adepidine 75 g/l + difenoconazole 125 g/l + azoxystrobin 125 g/l – 1 l/ha, 3. azoxystrobin 200 g/l + tebuconazole 120 g/l – 1 l/ha, 4. prothioconazole 250 g/l + boscalid 250 g/l – 0.5 l/ha + azoxystrobin 250 g/l – 0.8 l/ha. Results. The high efficiency of the fungicide with the active ingredient Adepidine 75 g/l + difenoconazole 125 g/l + azoxystrobin 125 g/l – 1 l/ha was established, against diseases of phomosis and basket rot it was 98.0%, against alternariosis and rust 95.0 and 96.5%. Conclusions. In the central part of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine, the phytosanitary condition of sunflower crops was recorded and the level of damage and spread of sunflower diseases was determined. The effectiveness of the effect of the active ingredients of the studied fungicides was established, the most effective is the active ingredient Adepidine 75 g/l + difenoconazole 125 g/l + azoxystrobin 125 g/l – 1 l/ha: against phomosis and basket rot – 98.0%, against alternariosis and rust 95.0 and 96.5%.
